They do not care how I smell or if I just had a really bad day. No matter what the situation is, they are happy to see me.
Dogs don’t even hold grudges. I can mess with their tail, keep away with their food, and pull on their ears, even if it frustrates them. And my dogs will forget all about it and treat me like their best bud within a couple minutes!
Dogs live short lives; maybe 15 years….. I know this when I accept the responsibility of dog parenting. But I will really try my very best to take care of them as they grow old no matter what.
I welcome the term "furparent." I love it when someone call me a furmom; I never frown or correct them. In fact, a sense of delight swells in me.
I know that not everyone loves dogs. Some people even hate them. But please do be sensitive. Be understanding to pet lovers like me who sometimes seem strange the way we treat our dogs.
I spoil my dogs, some might say. I shop in the same stores
as moms with human children. I tell my fur friends who, in turn, listen to me
and my advice. They certainly do not need a blog inspired by their lives with
mine.
And I know I am not alone.
