Our Chi Couple: Wako and Whitey

This is my Wako, a male chihuahua. He is the oldest dog in our family. We bought him last May 2012 just a few minutes when Wakowako died. Right now, he  is 5 yrs old.

At first, we often compared him to the late Wakowako. They said that Wako was not that sweet , not that smart, etc. But as days passed by, Wako has remarkable qualities that we start to love. He is an obedient and kind dog. He can stay in one place. He knows where to pee. It is easy for me to bath him , clean his teeth and ears etc. He knows how to sit when you tell him to sit down.

In his five years, he never gives problem to our family. He barks to the people he does not know but once you tap his head Wako will stop barking.

One of his hobbies is to sleep..hehe...And when he is at sleep, do not disturb him  and get near of him coz he will growl at you.

Wako is a healthy boy. He never get serious illness...and hopefully will not get through the years of his life.

Here is Whitey, our first female chihuahua. She came a year after we had Wako.  She is exactly the opposite of  Wako. She is like a kangaroo who loves to run and jump. It seems that she is not afraid that something might happen to her.

Whitey is also a sweet girl. She likes to kiss someone on the face even if he/she is sleeping.

One of the greatest moments in her life was when she got pregnant and gave birth to seven puppies. She did it in normal birth procedure. Imagine 7 puppies!!!!....we were really surprised that she made it. Actually we were afraid that time because for small breed like her, she might encounter problem. In fact, it was our veterinarian who did the procedure. With God's guidance, she was safe as well as her puppies.

One strange thing that happened was when she delivered the last puppy on the next day , July 25 at 1 am after she had her first six puppies on July 24 , 4pm. In other words, her youngest son has different birthdate than the rest.

I also found out that taking care of  seven puppies was so difficult. They needed to be breastfed from Whitey every two hours in a day. With that situation, Whitey the dam should produce plenty of milk to nourish her babies. And there were times Whitey did not want to lay down for breast feeding time but we really forced her coz the puppies need her milk to survive.

When the 7 puppies reached two months old, we looked for their new fur parents for we cannot really take care all of them. Two of them were not given out. They are Wiggle and Hachi.
