This is Waffle, a female fox-type pomeranian. I bought her from our neighbor who is a dog breeder. She is in the same age with Wiggle and Hachiko.
Honestly, when she was brought at home , I did not like her coz her fur was that dry and coarse and she has a black snout that you will be afraid to look at her. But since the breeder and I had agreement already, I still got Waffle.
When I had her at home, I made some research about pomeranian. I found out that the this type of breed has the so called "monkey/ugly stage". That is the reason why Waffle was like that when she first arrived.
But as months passed by, her beauty started to unfold.
At a young age, Waffle experienced some bad health problems. Last August 2014, her right front leg was fractured. For two months, we went to her vet for the bandaging session of her leg hoping that the fractured bone will get back to its place. I was so sad looking at her with bandage. I felt her difficulty when she tried to walk only with three legs. Come September, she had another sickness. There was a day that she vomited every thirty minutes which caused her to become weak. So I decided to bring her to her vet. Waffle had a blood test and the vet found out that her liver was not functioning well. We went home and tried to give her medicines but she did not get well. So I had to confine her to the clinic. The next day I thought she will be discharged since her x-ray results were okay. But when I got her, she pooped with blood. So the vet tested right away and found out that she had a corona parvo virus, a deadly virus. When I heard that, i tried not to cry because Waffle might be affected. I just cannot believed why she acquired the virus in spite of a finished complete set of vaccines... but the vet said that it was still possible and warned me that she might not get through it since the virus is deadly.
Through prayers, Waffle survived. Thank God!!! Even if I paid more or less 8 thousand pesos, I am still happy coz she is still with me.
I have to admit that Waffle is my favorite among the five dogs but of course I see to it that I give them same tender loving care that they need.
